Please read our policies before booking your appointment. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact us via the contact form here. Your booking confirmation confirms that you have read and agree to our policies. Please read the service you desire to book thoroughly. Once a service is booked, it cannot be downgraded. To best serve you, Shinkah's Beauty Bar operates by appointment only and does not accept walk-ins or same day appointments.
Deposits: A deposit of 40% is required at the time of booking in order to secure your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable and goes toward your booked service balance. If you cancel your appointment, your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellations: A 24 hours' notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule. There is a 50% service charge of remaining balance to card on file for any appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours of a scheduled appointment. Please email, text, or call to reschedule. Please note social media is not a method of contact. In the event of inclement weather, emergency, tragedy for the service provider, or world disaster (such as but not limited to, fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidal waves, tsunamis, floods, epidemic, pandemic, governmental orders, etc.), deposits are non-refundable, but all appointments will be rescheduled with the deposits going to the newly scheduled service.
Reschedules: Reschedules must be within 8 weeks of the original date booked. If you cannot reschedule within the next 8 weeks, you will need to book a new appointment and pay a new deposit. Changing services the day of your appointment is considered a late cancel and you will be charged 50% of total services originally booked.
Tardiness/Late: We are appointment based only. If you are running late, please be courteous and give us a call or send a message letting us know that you will be late. We will then let you know if we can accommodate you or if you should reschedule. A same day rescheduling fee will be applied. A late fee of $20 will be added to your service price if you are 10 minutes late to your scheduled appointment. If you arrive late for your appointment, that time is deducted from your allotted service time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, the appointment will be canceled, and deposit forfeited. If you are late for 3 or more appointments, you will be suspended from booking future appointments.
No Call No Show: No call no shows are charged 100% of service charge via card on file and are suspended from booking future services after 2 no call no shows. If a client confirmed an appointment, did not show, and contacted Shinkah's Beauty Bar immediately after being charged this is still considered a no call no show.
Minors: Facials are available for minors ages 13-17 but a parent or guardian must sign on child's behalf. Clients must be over the age of 18 for any advanced facials, intimate waxing, or vajacial services.
Guests: No additional guests including children are allowed at appointments unless they are being serviced. If you bring a guest without prior notice, they will be asked to leave. I reserve all rights to cancel an appointment, forfeiting your deposit if additional guests are present at time of appointment.
Post Service: Once you leave your scheduled appointment you are acknowledging that the service was completed, and your expectations were met. For best results please follow post care, treatment plan, and/or product suggestions. The health of your skin and many of the positive changes you find in your skin will be from working together with your esthetician as a team.
Payments/Payment Info: At Shinkah's Beauty Bar we accept cash (exact change, if possible) and credit/debit cards as forms of payment. Payments are made quickly and safely. Financial information is never shared. All sales are final. Please note if the payment card on file declines, Shinkah's Beauty Bar will reattempt charging the form of payment on file for up to 120 days after date of scheduled appointment. Any overdraft fees are not the responsibility of this business.
